Economic crime involving real estate

Allegations involving lettings, property purchases and financial agreements often span several disciplines. I accept selected defence matters, particularly allegations of fraud and rent usury.

The starting points are the specific allegation and investigation file. I develop the defence, assess any appropriate response and represent you through the proceedings, taking civil disputes and potential administrative consequences into account.

Rent usury and excessive rents

A high rent alone is insufficient under section 291 StGB. The assessment includes a conspicuous imbalance and exploitation of a legally specified vulnerability. This differs from the regulatory offence of excessive rent under section 5 WiStG.
